What is the Block of the Month?

If you have never done one before, it is a pattern that builds up month by month to create a beautiful quilt. The Block of the Month programs offer an easy yet exciting way to finish a quilt without being overwhelmed with the project all at once. Each month the blocks will get more challenging, and your skill levels will rise to meet the challenge. By the end, you will be amazed at what you have achieved.

This BOM looks particularly challenging, but with patience and guidance, you will be able to create this fabulous 72 inch square quilt. You will learn all sorts of patchwork techniques including piecing, Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP), English Paper Piecing (EPP). You will learn the importance of pressing, accuracy with seam allowances and how to deal with tricky elements like Y-shaped seams. You will have the chance to experiment with different types of quilting too.

We will be making this quilt using a technique called Quilt As You Go (QAYG). This means that both beginners and the more experienced can tackle a large project without having to struggle quilting a large piece. You work on smaller sections, quilting them using different techniques and then finally attaching them all together by machine at the end.

You will receive all 12 pattern booklets, all necessary templates and also access to the dedicated facebook group to look back at the tutorials.
